T-Systems aims to expand offshore outsourcing to 40-50%

Currently, engineers and developers in low-wage countries perform around one quarter of

T-Systems’ offshore work. Deutsche Telekom’s IT subsidiary hopes to double this proportion by 2015. This will result in jobs being cut in Germany and the transfer of projects previously managed by local partners to offshore countries. Earlier this year, in January, T-Systems had stated its intention to relocate 1,500 jobs from Germany to other countries.
