Sofrecom reaffirms its commitment to youth

Sofrecom commits to equal opportunity alongside Passeport Avenir

Sofrecom organized an afternoon dedicated to students from a high school affiliated with the Passeport Avenir association, to introduce them to careers and future opportunities.

This half-day event took place on April 27 and brought together around thirty 11th-grade students from Lycée Auguste Blanqui in Saint-Ouen, along with volunteer employees.

What is the corporate world really like? What types of jobs exist there? How can one access them? These are just some of the questions these high school students have—especially those from underprivileged backgrounds who often lack guidance in their academic and career orientation.

To answer these questions, Sofrecom's CSR department, joined by a project manager from Orange, welcomed the students and their teachers.

The program for the afternoon included an introduction to the various careers at Sofrecom—consulting, human resources, network and services engineering, IT systems consulting and engineering, business development, marketing, and communications—a visit to the server room led by an IT expert, and a hands-on workshop on artificial intelligence.

Passeport Avenir is an association that supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, from high school through to graduation from university or a top-level school, through professional mentoring. The goal is to create meaningful connections between these students and volunteer employees who are eager to share their experience and make a difference.

A meaningful experience for both students and employees

This half-day of exchange was a powerful moment for both the students and our employees, who unanimously found the experience enriching in terms of encounters and testimonials. Through this event, Sofrecom reaffirms its commitment as a responsible company by promoting equal opportunity and fighting discrimination.
