Challenge: Implementing a Risk Anticipation and Business Continuity Methodology
An international operator wanted to implement, across its subsidiaries, a risk anticipation methodology to reduce the likelihood of incidents and their impact on service platforms, IT platforms, and the equipment required for service continuity.
Methodology: Development of a Business Impact Analysis and a Business Continuity Plan
Sofrecom developed and implemented a methodology based on Business Impact Analysis (BIA) that could be easily used by the client’s subsidiaries. We designed customized questionnaires inspired by various risk management methods (ISO 22301:2012, Ebios, ISO 27001, ISO 27005). We conducted a series of interviews, which enabled us to analyze risks and implement action and recovery plans within a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) approach.
Result: Risk Reduction and Improved Service Continuity
The Business Continuity Plan improves knowledge of the entities’ weaknesses and recovery times according to the selected scenario. The Business Impact Analysis makes it possible to prioritize investments related to business continuity and reduce insurance premiums. The BCP ensures the continuity of service delivery to customers, providing a clear competitive advantage.
