In a global environment where tackling climate change has become a top priority, we believe every company must play an active role in accelerating the ecological transition. Our 2024 Carbon Report reflects our strong commitment to combining responsible growth with a measurable reduction in our environmental impact.
This report highlights a structured, measurable, and ambitious approach built on solid governance, innovative tools such as Greenly, and the engagement of all our teams. Our objective is clear: to contribute to the Orange Group’s pathway toward carbon neutrality by 2040, while continuing to grow our business (+8% revenue growth in 2024).
It demonstrates in practical terms how, together, we can make a real difference by implementing concrete, measurable, and responsible actions that help protect the planet while sustaining business performance.
A global strategy for strong environmental commitment
This Carbon Report reflects the maturity and accountability of our Group, which is committed to combining economic growth with a reduced environmental footprint. With +8% revenue growth in 2024, Sofrecom maintained its sustainability ambitions by aligning its actions with the Orange Group climate strategy, including the Net Zero 2040 target.
Our approach is built on structured governance, rigorous steering, and a methodology based on measurement, prioritization, execution, and continuous improvement. Annual data consolidation through Greenly, regular reviews by strategic committees, and the involvement of all employees demonstrate our commitment to transparency and effective environmental impact management.
Concrete actions to reduce carbon footprint
Our actions focus on the main impact areas: procurement, digital, mobility, and energy. The strategy relies on several key pillars:
- Sustainable procurement: integration of environmental criteria into supplier selection, increased use of refurbished equipment, and deployment of recycling and donation channels to extend equipment lifespan.
- Digital and equipment management: optimization of technology needs, longer equipment life cycles, increased use of refurbished devices, and reduced energy consumption.
- Mobility and business travel: promotion of teleworking (up to 95%), expansion of low-carbon transport options such as rail, cycling, and carpooling, and precise tracking of avoided kilometers through tools like Greenly.
- Energy efficiency: transition toward renewable energy sources, building optimization, and lower energy use.
Tangible and measurable results
In 2024, we reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 18%, from 9,075 tCO2e in 2023 to 7,400 tCO2e in 2024, while also delivering +22% revenue growth. The share of consolidated data through Greenly has now reached 70%, improving reporting reliability and strengthening transparency.
Carbon intensity performance also improved significantly: -22% per employee and -31% per €1 million in revenue. These indicators show effective environmental impact management while maintaining strong business performance.
Concrete on-the-ground actions—such as scaling telework, reducing business travel, using refurbished equipment, and increasing employee awareness—illustrate a proactive and responsible approach.
Responsible and eco-designed digital transformation
The report also highlights Sofrecom’s commitment to responsible digital transformation. Initiatives such as Green IT, a Responsible AI Charter, and client support for ecological transition reinforce the Group’s credibility in eco-design.
Digital sobriety helped reduce our digital footprint by 17% in 2024. Responsible management of WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) flows and equipment recovery through donations to partner organizations also contribute to this momentum.
Governance and collective engagement: keys to success
The success of this strategy relies on structured governance and collective mobilization. Training more than 90% of employees on CSR topics, organizing events such as Digital Clean-Up Week and Sustainable Development Weeks, and deploying a network of CSR ambassadors all reflect Sofrecom’s strong commitment.
Performance indicators—such as emissions reduction, share of sustainable procurement, and rail share in business travel—are regularly monitored and adjusted to ensure continuous progress.
Future priorities and climate commitments
This Carbon Report goes beyond a performance review: it also outlines our medium- and long-term ambitions. Sofrecom aims to strengthen eco-design initiatives, improve data quality and precision, and continue progressing toward carbon neutrality by 2040.
Future priorities also include deeper employee awareness, continuous process optimization, and closer collaboration with partners to meet increasingly demanding environmental responsibility standards.
By sustaining these efforts, we confirm our position as a responsible leader in the digital sector and actively contribute to the fight against climate change.
