Definition of the target billing system

This French company, a large player in the cloud market, asked Sofrecom’s experts in information and billing systems to define its target billing architecture and the specifications for the RFP. We also defined the IS evolution roadmap in order to support our customer’s business ambitions. 

Methodology

First of all, our team organized a series of workshops with the customer’s business departments. We analyzed the current situation (organization, business processes, tools), identified the end customer’s billing needs, and ensured that all stakeholders were aligned on the same vision for the billing system.

Result

Thanks to our experience with billing systems and models in the Telecom sector – volume-based or usage-based - we identified and prioritized the  functionalities required and wrote the statement of technical and functional requirements. Finally, we defined a roadmap for this billing system.

Our analysis of the customer’s needs and recommendations enabled the different entities to converge towards a shared vision for the billing system, the functionalities required and the roadmap to follow. This was a critical foundation to the success of the RFP.
