TelOne called on Sofrecom to challenge the technical and financial proposals of an equipment supplier as part of its network optimization project.
TelOne aims to become a "leading operator" through the use of cutting-edge technologies and the launch of modern services.

An independent strategic analysis to support network modernization

To achieve this goal and modernize our network, we decided in 2015 to collaborate with an equipment vendor.
We also wanted an independent analysis of the proposal to ensure it matched our strategy and needs, all while offering excellent value for money.

We chose Sofrecom for its vast experience, particularly in Africa, in managing vendors from the design to the deployment phase.

Sofrecom's experts analyzed TelOne's strategy and proposed a tailored network architecture. Working closely with the vendor and TelOne’s technical team, Sofrecom presented an optimized proposal.

Changes and improvements were made to the technical specifications and approved by all parties. With their market price knowledge, network, and Orange Group best practices, Sofrecom's experts conducted benchmark studies to challenge the project scope, sizing, and vendor pricing.

Tangible results: cost savings, performance, and new services

Sofrecom ensured that the technical choices, operational model, and maintenance contract aligned with TelOne's ambitions. They also provided for increased network capacity to maintain the expected service quality.

Thanks to Sofrecom, we achieved a 15% saving compared to the original contract value and secured a solid agreement both financially and operationally. Our network is now more reliable and sustainable.

We will also save significantly on operational costs thanks to a simplified network, fully adapted to our needs and with no hidden costs. It was a great success.

TelOne is now able to launch profitable new services such as fiber optic (FTTx) and IP television. Our upgraded network allows us to handle the traffic increase needed to launch these innovations and to ensure the service quality expected by our customers.
