Challenge: Launching an LTE Network to Achieve 4G Leadership
A leading fixed-line operator in its country decided to launch an LTE network with the goal of also becoming the leader in 4G. It needed to ensure that the design and technical implementation proposed by its equipment supplier aligned with its business case and to secure the time-to-market.
Methodology: Deployment Supervision and Technical Quality Control
Sofrecom oversaw the entire deployment by providing a dedicated team. This team focused on reviewing design documents (HLD, LLD) as well as analyzing test documents and technical documentation provided by the vendor. Our consultants also supervised equipment installations and commissioning, ensuring compliance with standard procedures.
Result: On-Time Service Launch and Optimized Implementation
Our intervention enabled the client to launch all its services on schedule. We renegotiated “acceptance” thresholds and added tests to secure implementation quality. Certain feature implementations were corrected, and the technical documentation was improved—an important step for future deployment phases. Finally, the operator’s teams benefited from a skills transfer.
