Sofrecom and GOTIC have signed a two-year strategic partnership to support national-scale digital transformation initiatives.
The goal is to leverage the combined expertise of Sofrecom and GOTIC (the business association of ICT companies in Côte d’Ivoire), as well as best practices from the industry, to develop new business opportunities.
This alliance strengthens the synergies between Sofrecom and the Ivorian digital ecosystem, relying on GOTIC’s vast network.
Sofrecom Expands Its Presence in Sub-Saharan Africa with a Permanent Office in Côte d’Ivoire
Since 1966, Sofrecom has supported the transformation of the telecommunications sector in Africa.
It contributes to the digital development of various institutions and Orange in Côte d’Ivoire. These projects have always been carried out in collaboration with local companies.
The opening of a permanent office in Abidjan will enhance these partnerships and embed Sofrecom more deeply in the local economy.
This new hub will also strengthen Sofrecom’s presence in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Senegal, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Guinea, where many projects are already underway.
A Shared Vision for Digital Transformation
Marianne Brunat, Chief Commercial Officer of Sofrecom Group, stated:
"Digital transformation in Africa, as in Europe, relies on three key success factors: secure and high-quality infrastructure enabling connectivity for all, simple and innovative services for both consumers and businesses, and a deep transformation of organizations and work practices.
This new economy is driven by individual initiatives, entrepreneurial energy, and partnerships between startups and major companies.
The partnership between GOTIC and Sofrecom will accelerate collaboration among key players in this ecosystem."
Mr. Patrick M’Bengue, President of GOTIC, added:
"Côte d’Ivoire has placed digital transformation at the core of its emergence strategy. Local IT and telecom companies have a vital role to play in this process.
However, due to the scale and complexity of these projects, and the urgency of reform agendas, it is essential for many of these companies to form strategic alliances to expand their skills, service offerings, and capabilities.
This is the spirit of the partnership between GOTIC and Sofrecom: to create synergies and complementarities, and co-develop original and efficient solutions to address the digital transformation challenges across all sectors of our economy."
