PINs (Public Initiative Networks) are public contracts aimed at deploying Fiber in less dense areas of France.
As part as the deployment of one of these FTTH PINs, our client, specialized in Public Works and guarantor of FTTH deployment, called upon our team to meet several challenges :
Our experts have worked on both the transmission and distribution network and the backbone system.
At the level of the transmission and distribution network, the objective was to reorganize the design office in charge of the design of the fiber (HLD/LLD) in order to align it with the contractual objectives of our client. To achieve this, it was necessary to:
• Clarify the roles and perimeters of responsibilities in each of the 3 concerned design offices,
• Align resources with objectives (recruitment, internal reorganization).
A transfer of competence was carried out to allow our client to manage his design office independently at the end of the assignment.
On the second part, our experts managed the team in charge of the backbone network in order to align the production rate of the backbone links in line with the objectives. For this, it was necessary to define and implement the reporting processes and tools.
