The smartphone is changing purchasing habits and even tending to relegate high-street stores to simple showrooms where consumer come only to check out products and compare prices using their cellphone then finally make the purchase online. Decried but often overestimated, this new practice referred to as ‘showrooming’ in fact opens real opportunities to be seized by bricksand- mortar retailers thanks to the mobile.
