Thierry Breton, Chairman and CEO of Atos confirmed the company’s determination to develop in India. The country hosts 8,500 business technologists out of the group’s total workforce of 74,000, and is important for the IT services company, both in terms of local business opportunities and the offshore centres it has set up there.
Atos has therefore set up a strategic advisory board, chaired by Thierry Breton and made up of around ten members including four prominent Indian business leaders and personalities. This Committee, which will meet every quarter, will be tasked with providing recommendations and guidance on how to position Atos in India.
In addition, to strengthen its operations in India, Atos is to open a campus in Pune dedicated to technological innovation and which will also be the headquarters for the Atos business technologists in India. This campus, the second after Bezons, will also be home to a global delivery centre.
