More than 35,000 people were affected; 53 people died and many more disappeared. Houses were seriously damaged and their occupants had to survive in extremely precarious conditions. Argentina's entire population mobilized to help the victims of this natural disaster: neighborhood committees, private companies, public organizations, artists, sports personalities, etc.
Sofrecom Argentina employees participated fully in this solidarity movement to aid the flood victims. They assembled an impressive stock of essential basic supplies such as non-perishable foods, cleaning material and clothes for adults and children. They collected money whose priority use will be to buy food and cleaning equipment. This admirable effort enabled two shipments to be sent rapidly to the La Plata Red Cross.
