Terremark, Verizon’s main delivery arm for the provision of IT services, has just announced that it has completed work on a 2,800m² expansion to its 6,000m² Network Access Point (NAP) West data centre located in Santa Clara, California. The campus has been engineered to meet or exceed the latest industry standards. The majority of the additional floor space has already been contracted.
The extension of the NAP West data centre is part of Terremark’s global network development strategy which aims to meet demand for ultra-secure IT infrastructure and cloud computing solutions.
It is worth noting that Terremark now has 26 data centres in North America and 23 data centres in service or planned in the rest of the world.
