Thu 24 Nov 2022

The commitment of our company is what creates a real impact on our teams and our stakeholders. Thanks to our constant efforts, we have succeeded in recruiting women in digital activities where the rate of feminization is generally low; a key figure: 54% of Sofrecom Tunisia employees are women and the international certification "Gender Equality and Diversity European and International Standard (GEEIS)", which we obtained in July is the ultimate proof

On November 1st, 2022, Sofrecom Tunisia obtains the World Communication Award (WCA) in the category "People & Culture" in London.

The WCA is an international competition that rewards actors in the telecom and digital sector in about twenty categories covering technical and social aspects. The WCA is the mark of excellence in telecommunications since 1999.
The trophy was previously won by many of the world's leading telecommunications companies.

This year, Sofrecom Tunisia was able to stand out from the other participants thanks to several factors including mainly its efforts to promote diversity, inclusion and professional equality:

The programs to boost women on the digital. They represent 54% of Sofrecom Tunisia's employees, on activities where the rate of feminization is generally low.
The use of digital technology as a driver of inclusion and social development (beyond the traditional digital telecom business).
The international certification "Gender Equality and Diversity European and International Standard (GEEIS)
In addition to digital activities for telecoms, Sofrecom's involvement in projects such as "Tech For Good", has contributed to obtaining this award. Sofrecom Tunisia is indeed working on Smart Agri projects, using Data & AI technologies. Let's mention the project of detection of olive tree diseases from satellite images and using machine learning algorithms.

Hager ALMI, Communication and CSR Director of Sofrecom Tunisia shared "the commitment of our company is what creates a real impact on our teams and our stakeholders. Thanks to our constant efforts, we have succeeded in recruiting women in digital activities where the rate of feminization is generally low; a key figure: 54% of Sofrecom Tunisia employees are women and the international certification "Gender Equality and Diversity European and International Standard (GEEIS)", which we obtained in July is the ultimate proof".

The jury of the World Communication Awards indicated in its speech that Sofrecom has also distinguished itself by "a strong culture focused on people, men and women equally, an agile, dynamic and inclusive culture". Equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion are the drivers of Sofrecom's performance in serving corporate clients around the world.
