Looking beyond the ties between the subsidiary and its parent company, Sofrecom Argentina's birthday party at the embassy was also a symbolic celebration of the relations developed between France and Argentina. The 573 guests at this event organized with the support of the French Ambassador, Jean-Pierre Azvazadourian, included several senior civil servants and many of Sofrecom Argentina's special customers and partners.
A driving force in Argentinean IT
In their speeches, Adrian Hettema, Sofrecom Argentina's CEO, and Jacques Moulin, Sofrecom Group CEO, looked back at the key phases in Sofrecom Argentina's development. They congratulated the local staff on the professionalism and expertise which have enabled them to achieve sustained growth – even during the regional economic turmoil in the early years of this century – and to build their company into a leading IT services provider.

Since its creation in 1992 for the purpose of rolling out a telecoms network in the north of the country for France Telecom and Telecom Italia, Sofrecom Argentina has faced and overcome many challenges.
Founding its business model on IT services and strong partnerships (Microsoft, Ciena, Juniper, QlikView,…), it has launched innovative, high value-added products. Moreover, the horizontality of its solutions has enabled it to address a variety of market segments, from telecoms to banking and insurance, healthcare, energy and general industry.
Its teams have proved their ability to adapt; their watchwords are innovation and transformation. The company has earned a fine reputation due to its unrelenting effort to enhance the quality of its services. Its continuous process improvements and resources optimization have been rewarded by several certifications, most notably its recent CMMI Level 5 (1), and above all by the loyalty of top-line customers such as Telecom Argentina, Telecom Personal, Banco Galicia, PSA Peugeot Citroen, to name but a few.
Pursuing the adventure across the border
Encouraged by its success and driven by a dynamic, ambitious strategy, Sofrecom Argentina now intends to extend its reach abroad. It will start by seeking contracts in neighboring countries, then across the whole of South America.
