TOT Thailand - deployment of a national SDH network

Sofrecom has achieved, for the Tailand incumbent operator - Telephone Organisation of Thailand (TOT), the supervision and the coordination of the deployment of the national SDH network with over 10,000 km of optical fibre and 900 km of microwave links, together with the training on the engineering monitoring system (EMS), and the consultancy services in engineering and new technologies.

Sofrecom also provided services among the following domains:

  • Implementation plan analysis
  • Set-up of an executive monitoring system (EMS) with the installation of a dedicated computer data network
  • EMS training
  • Coordination
  • Installation supervision
  • Set-up of an acceptance procedure
  • Technical support during the equipment and network acceptance
  • Evaluation of new available technologies with feasibility study
  • Study on a network management centre

This contract enabled Sofrecom to pursue its development in the Asia continent.
